Picsart has created a website that hosts 19 image and video editing tools available for free in drag-and-drop format. It supports a ton of resizing, file type conversion, background removal, color pickers, and more.

Called Quick toolsPicsart’s service provides access to 19 specific editing tasks that typically require owning editing software like Adobe Photoshop, but condenses them into a simple, browser-based, drag-and-drop interface that only requires no subscription or download.

The company claims that Quicktools bundles all of Picsart’s major editing tools together to give everyone the chance to try out the “advanced yet easy-to-use” tools found in its dedicated app.

“Whether it’s removing backgrounds, creating transparent backgrounds, trimming videos, or converting file types, you can do it all easily with Quicktools,” says a Picsart representative. PetaPixel.

This is not an exaggeration. There are a lot of simple editing tools here but usually quite tedious to run in Photoshop. For conversion, Quicktools can convert pdf to jpeg, HEIC to JPEGor convert jpeg to pdf or PNG to PDF. He can also merge multiple PDFs into one file or do the reverse and remove selected pages from a PDF or just extract it to multiple files.

This also has a color wheel which allows users to easily find complementary colors, a color palette tool to help find a coordinated color scheme, or a color picker which allows users to get the exact HEX, RGB or CMYK code for any color.

There are also video tools, such as the ability to convert MOV to MP4 and another tool that allows easy video trimming directly from a browser window.

Picsart has even included its background removal tool, which – after only a few seconds of analysis and processing – is able to generate a photo with a subject separated from the background which can be downloaded in full-resolution PNG format. It’s not perfect, but for a free browser-based tool that only takes a few seconds, it’s remarkably powerful.

Picsart has been hard at work in the creative space over the past year after raising $130 million in August, and these tools simplify the editing process it brought to browsers in October 2020. Last month, the company has added its free editing tools directly integrated into Google Drive. In February, it made all of its tools available to developers via an API.
